"Yeah,
this is me just so that you know who is talking to you"

Hi and welcome to my website, I am Christian Woods of Woods Moto Equipment
This is just a little about myself. I think really it is about reflecting more on what I used to do rather than what I do now, given that I'm now wiser, older, and less tolerant to pain. I have a passion for, not very much, but motorcycles is one of them. I have been a biker for what seems like - EVER! They say that when you get to my age after riding for such a long time you must have done something right, I tend to think in my case it was a bit like the typical movie scene, where at the end of the film when all the cops arrive the deed had already been done, You know the movie, there's thousands of them made like that!
My interest in motocycles goes away
back when I was a kid, my father would put me on his motor scooter and
have me stand in front of him while we rode around the yard doing laps.
When I was finally able to ride for myself, I was aged 7 back then, my
father caught me trying to pull a mono across his vegetable garden. I
guess from that point on I was destined to stay on a bike.

I find that riding a motobike gives
me the closest feeling of absolute
freedom, the feeling of
danger and exposure to all things and possibly vulnerability to the
extent that you are only human flesh, soft and malleable. The feeling
is sort of like the bike is you or you are the bike and all you have to
do to move is squeeze on the gas. One of the unbelievable things with
these new machines is just how much, share power they put out, it's
incredible. I could be riding along at a happy pace of 100km's and
without any time or effort, squeeze on the gas and be blazing through
200 kilometers an hour on my way to 300, chewing up road like it was
paper...this is what really excites me, I just love it!!! I often think
that a lot of people I know or come in to contact with, express their
desire to stay well away from any such activity. Scared of motorcycles,
flying, heights, spiders as if they were some kind of landmine that
will definitely go bang in your face. Without prejudice I feel a
majority of people like this, miss out on a vital part of the inner
soul, or character, I don't know how to best describe this but I know
that it is ashame to deny the experience.

To expose yourself to some form of
controlled danger is a good thing. This I feel prepares you for real
danger should it occur and yes it will occur. We all know that life
itself has hidden dangers and going through life being unprepared for
these can certainly test your capabilities or coping mechanisms. The
Controlled Danger will be Exposing Your Mind to a pre-determined stress
level or levels. You can control it to a certain extent.
Expose yourself will prepare yourself.
I am a huge follower/participant of anything XTREME or Xtreme Sports, and I'm not talking about your run of the mill skate boarders or BMX riders but real ass busting danger stuff. I suppose coming from The Land Of The Long White Cloud, AOTEAROA, New Zealand (NZ), certainly fuels this hunger, it's part of our culture.
NZ is known as the Xtreme Capital Of
The World. This is the country that introduced bungy jumping to the
universe (via a Mr AJ Hackett), NZ also harbours some of the best
launching pads for B.A.S.E Jumpers, Paraponters, and crazy Hangliding
pilots.
As an observation I had personally made, it seems that countries with very steep and wild narly mountains, tends to create this type of folk, We are a semi - wild bunch that likes our winter months for the snow skiing season and our summer months for our wild west surf beaches to pitch our skills against. I like most of my countryman will always say "If it ain't dead yet then kick it to make sure'" or in more acceptable terms "Test it and test it again" I really think that the Nike Corporation had been down under and stole our philosophy towards life "Just Do IT!"
My life has well and truly prepared me for any sudden abnormalities and I think that anyone very close to me are also well prepared for the same. From me, my views toward placing ones self in controlled circumstances strengthens you undoubtably and from this has rubbed off me and onto them.
I am a father to two very beautiful
girls, Katy & Nicole. Both of my daughters live in NZ while I
live here in Australia. I left NZ in 1997 as a result of emergency
surgery that was not available for me in NZ. I had to have a Liver
Transplant. This trip to Australia was indeed a trip that had all the
hallmarks of being unsurvivable due to the deterioration of my liver at
the time. However I survived and from that point my life was to be
entirely different from what I was used to. I am 47 years of age and at
the time of the transplant I was 36. I indeed have two lives,
pre-transplant and post-transplant and the difference is definately
like chalk and cheese.

My mission in life is to come in
contact with as many people as possible and hopefully a little piece of
me may rub off. You have to to take charge of yourself and if need be
PUSH, PUSH, PUSH, as hard as you can, for inside of everyone is another
you and not very often in the course of your life will you ever see it
and I think you know "That's What I'm Talking About!" The other you is
STRONGER, TALLER, AND MIGHTIER, its the one you have to dig deep for
when the extreme circumstances dictate. Get out there and
grow!
In lots of ways restrictions you may place upon yourself have been
subconciously placed there to protect yourself. These are like and take
the form of imaginary, walls, barriers or what ever. What about if we
were able to put say a gate, or door in the walls or barriers that can
be opened just slightly. Makes sense doesn't it? if we are able to
construct these walls or barriers surely we can also construct a door
or gate. Who agrees with this theory? If the door is constructed and
built by you, then this door can be controlled by you, so therefore
able to control the amount of flow which can enter into your space at
any one time. If this thought was carried through to some sort of
action then exposing ones self can be controlled and therefore the
incrimants you wish to progress forward with, is also controlled.
Restrictions that we place upon ourselves can filter through to all
sorts of things. You can almost guarantee that by living life in this
manner will achieve what you have set out to achieve but will also stop
you from growing, experiencing, life for what it truely is ...an
adventure. Opportunities
would have passed you by countless times, life is there to be lived and
nothing else. Death will come in some shape or form and in its own good
time. You have already got a predetermined date and time when you will
die, there is no getting away from that one. So I guess how do you
protect yourself from death? You can't, can you? So then why don't you
allow yourself to live life to its fullest and experience everthing it
has to offer, right?
I will put life into real simple terms for you. Why are we born to this
earth, what is our sole purpose for being here? I'll tell you why. So
that we may mate and re-populate this earth and keep the cycle of life
going, we then wait our time out before eventually passing away. Mother
nature sees to it that this cycle remains no matter whether you're dog,
cat, mouse, monkey, bird or man, right? It just so happens that we have
a bit of spare time inbetween arriving on this earth and passing away,
so what ever you choose to do with this time is entirely up to you. We
as the dumb species on this earth decided to invent time and money, now
what we actually invented from this time and money thing, is a world
devided into 3 classes of people, rich, middle class, and the poor.
Thinking about this for a moment, and now knowing our life cycle, does
the inbetween stuff really matter and how has it gone for us as a
species so far? Not so good has it?
I have this question asked of me all the time, where do you get the
strength to change your life by Thinking
Outside Of The Box and
attempt
to do somerthing that is different than the traditional methods. As an
example If you are thinking about or would like to start a Home
Based or Online Business,
you will clearly be outside of traditional methods and Your
Comfort Zone,
but if you honestly want to make a change to how you live life and what
you want to achieve going forward by taking charge, then I would say to
you, go forward with a new found degree of Strength,
dig down for that other person you hardly see, and embrase the Opportunities
good or bad. Concentrate on the business at hand only, don't lose Focus
and don't be swayed by negative comments. Remember what I said life was
about, it doesn't come any easier than that. Its up to you how you want
to live it, but when life is over, its over. Squeeze life out like
squeezing a damp cloth, get every drop out. Don't worry about how to
work your new chosen lifestyle as the help is out there. Take the time
to smell the roses but PUSH PUSH PUSH!!!
